Creative Media Lab at SNFL at New York Public Library
Today, I attended the bi-monthly Creative Media Lab at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library (SNFL) at the New York Public Library. My hope was that the video kit I’ve been waitlisted for might finally become available. Unfortunately, it wasn’t.
Recently, booking Studio 40 has been a challenge, and I thought that having access to the video equipment would help fill the gap. I’m especially keen on this because one of our podcast guests, Ms. Wandalynn Miftani, will be performing at the Harlem Dance Club event this Saturday. Capturing her performance on video would have been a great opportunity for our podcast.
Despite the waitlist setback, I remain excited about the upcoming event and look forward to Ms. Miftani’s performance. If all goes well, I’ll find another way to capture the moment and share her incredible talent with our audience.
To my surprise, Ms. Wandalynn Miftani was also on-site, returning some equipment she had borrowed. It was wonderful to see her again, especially with her upcoming performance in Harlem this weekend. We had a quick chat, and her excitement for the event was contagious.
Studio 40 hosts a Showcase every year. This is from 2024. I presented our podcast, Aging with Grace and Purpose. The rest are younger artists. You can check my presentation below.
Rashmi: Another great talent. Singer-songwriter, actress, and activist. She later came to the Studio to share her stories and talent through her beautiful songs.
I also ran into a few familiar faces from the Studio 40 Showcase. Rashmi, one of the standout creators, mentioned her upcoming Album Release Party on Saturday, 9/21, at Culture Lab in Long Island City. What an exciting moment for her! Congratulations to Rashmi—I'll definitely be cheering her on from afar.
